Lanvin for H&M

Lanvin for H&M! what a message. I don't really know what to think of a collaboration between top designers and labels such as Topshop and H&M. Well the thought behind it is a good one making it possible for normal people to buy designer pices for a good price but isn't it strange to watch people run in the shops, waiting in front of it for hours for the only reason of getting something, thousands of other people are running around with as well. At least half of the women will know where the clothes come from and might give you a quick wink and that's it. And even though my mother needs a balldress and the Lanvin one in the photo would be the perfect one(199€), she doesn't want to buy it because someone in Hamburgs High Society might realise where she got it from. Anyway I do not think about the dress in the same way like she does.
Ok anyway I must confess that this dress is an exception.First of all because the inside in 100% pure silk and the net lace doesn't drop in the first place but stays as voluminous as it does in the picture. When you pull the binding really thight it will match every body shape and one doesn't have to suck in the belly. I love it and will defenitly get it for the ball with Hamburgs High Society.

how boring

how boring! Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Chloe, Giorgio Armani, Valentino, ...!
Yesterday I was looking for an interior design magazine in a bunch of my mothers collection when I bumped into this. I didn't believe it when I saw the cover of the German Vogue (september). A woman tattooed with labels and the headline let's shop! Didn't these people learn anything from what fashion is trying to become in the last couple of years. Do they still believe that only the brand is what counts to make a woman become fashionable?!
I believe in the oppisit. I'm not saying I dislike expensive, old fashioned and popular brands but isn't it boring to only talk about them and not being interested in what is happening in the newcomer scene?
It seems as if they don't even bother writing about anything else because of being scared to loose the readers. Where is the courage? Especially courage is one of the most important things fashion needs for changing all the time. The weired thing is that even Vogue had an article about fashion blogs, praising their bravery and saying how important those people are. Important in the way of showing the world what one can wear without following the rules of what's IN and OUT! So dear Vogue, do it. Don't fall asleep and get some fresh air. Thank you!

Helsinki. HELL YES! very interesting people with a different behaviour and style. much braver and colourful as well as interesting. Just think of Marimekko and of the flower pattern the labes is famous for. And now try to think of what people in Finland wear?! Right, they love eye catching patterns and bright colours. In case you should feel like you need some change or even if its just a way out of a depression you might have fallen in, go to HELSINKI! drink some of the nice alkohol, visit different vintage stores just like Hoochie Mama Jane or Play It Again, Sam and of course go to the Marimekko warehouse( 10 min. outside the center) where old collections are sold, being affordable. Enjoy!
